As a Product Designer for Wodify, you will be part of our product team working fast and agile. You’ll help develop the plan based on our vision and goals, and execute (collaboratively) with developers and product professionals. You will design an experience that is easy and sexy, works well on multiple platforms, and makes complex functionality intuitive. Expect to make informed decisions on style and usability and be a part of the building the product through your graphic design talents.

 

A Day in the Life:

  • Work with product managers and CEO to define both the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics for our products
  • Sometimes work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, and sometimes on narrowly defined, tactical deliverables
  • Help define user goals, models, and user flows and interfaces and translate them into wireframes and interactive prototypes
  • Design unified experiences across application platforms, including information architecture and interaction design
  • Collaborate with software developers to transform product visions into beautiful, elegant experiences
  • Focus on what you do best — whether that’s sketches, wireframes, prototypes, designs, or code—and you’ll have the opportunity to sharpen the skills you’re looking to develop
  • Work in a highly collaborative fashion with the design, product, and project teams
  • Consider all parts of the experience, from copy to animations to business model, when designing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 4+ years of user experience design experience for software and web applications that leverage emergent technologies
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, UX and Wireframing tools
  • Strong portfolio a must (candidates without demonstrated software design experience will not be considered)
  • Can reduce complex problems down to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use
  • Have experience designing for business and customer focused SaaS products
  • Technical understanding of web and mobile app technologies including things like responsive design, strong focus on mobile experiences and how they differ to desktop
  • Experienced in user testing designs but also have the ability to move quickly based on known requirements
  • Keep pushing your work until all details are attended to
  • Skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions
  • Comfortable designing based on limited business requirements and open to iterative feedback to help our company produce its best work
  • Expertise in either UI, UX, or visual design, but skilled in more disciplines across product design
  • Think in systems and are able to extrapolate and extend shared patterns and behaviors
  • Occasional travel to our Lisbon, Portugal office may be required

Education & Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
